Sudan - Sudan is the biggest country in Africa and the ninth largest country on earth. It has borders with Egypt, Libya, Chad, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Eritrea. Sudan covers an area of 967,500 sq miles, has a population around 35 million, is dominated by the Nile and its tributaries and remains largely undeveloped.
